Here is the background visual slideshow I created for Max to present Bosch's uber-dark view of the world- a view quite prominent in the Middle Ages. Of course Max took the darkness in stride- "Poor Hiero, he must have been really sad. I think he didn't spend enough time in treehouses when he was a kid....."
